Meet the team that’s made #ReachOutSaltSpring possible.

I want to grow a community that cares for each other especially for those who need a leg up to potentially change their life.
-
It offers up a way of creating greater community care, for the giver and the receiver.
-
I love to connect to people, spend time in nature, be engaged in caring for community, reading, writing, and simply "being."

-
To hopefully help facilitate hard to access services to those that have the least amount of options.
-
Because I have had to live through life altering issues without the standard services that most people take for granted...& is a miracle that I survived all of them.
-
SSIMWI, personal peer support, outreach & counseling.
CHRIS GRIFFITHS
-
I felt called to support others healing because of the profound impact healing has had on my relationship with myself, others and nature.
-
By reducing the obstacles to access healing modalities, #ReachOutSaltSpring allows those who would otherwise be unable to access healing an opportunity to heal what ails them. Healing ourselves helps heal the world.
-
In my leisure time, I participate in and facilitate retreats and workshops that provide safe spaces to explore ourselves.

Interested as a spinoff from SSHAN involvement - a good practical project that makes sense.
-
Equitable access to practitioners is a deep need - this is an accessibility for all value based initiative!
-
I love to contribute to community - and currently that involves the many layers to our local food system; growing food, sharing food, ensuring there is a local seed system that his accessible to all, putting food security front of mind for local decision making around land use and housing, bringing the food system full circle with Indigenous Nations land restoration and native plant food species.

As a first responder, I've personally witnessed the effect that strong community support has on its residents. I wanted to do my part in helping connect people with the services they may require so harm can be prevented.
-
It's a grassroots, people-led initiative where everyone cares greatly about the mission of serving others. There is a clear demand for accessible services in our community and I believe everyone should feel empowered—and able—to seek those out.
-
My work allows me to serve folks who may be going through the worst day of their life—it is a privilege. When not working, I love to take part in the sport scene on Salt Spring, namely squash, disc golf, and hiking.
