Q: Describe briefly your training and experience around trauma-focused care specifically.

  • I received specialized training in trauma counselling, focusing on client-centered and evidence-based approaches​.

Q: Please describe "cultural safety" training that you have.

  • Cultural safety training emphasized self-reflection on cultural impacts in counselling.

Q: Please describe any anti-violence or anti-oppression education or training you have.

  • I received anti-violence and anti-oppression training focused on systemic inequalities.

Q: Do you have experience with clients impacted by climate grief or state-related violence? If so, please elaborate.

  • Yes- in our experiential PCD program our cohort practiced counselling each other 1:1 and in small and large fish-bowl groups. My cohort included people who experienced climate grief from wild fires (Kelowna), floods (Merritt), and state-related violence including school shootings (California). These traumas surfaced in class often. We held space for the waves of emotions that came up, and learned to counsel using various methods, including group Emotional Release Therapy (aka Trauma Release Session)

Q: Do you have any other specific training that might be relevant to clients we are seeking to help with this community mental health program?

  • Somatic, CBT, NLP, Mindfulness hypnotherapy techniques, HeartMath Institute techniques, Laser coaching, Transformational Deep Coaching, Life Skills Coaching. My practicum was creating a Financial Wellness program bridging physiological and subtle energy bodies health to access physical, spiritual, emotional and mental wellness.

  • I understand the courage it takes to seek change, especially when moving beyond challenging relationships. My approach is compassionate and tailored, helping you set boundaries, improve communication, and explore new possibilities. Together, we'll reclaim your agency, empowering you to step into a safer, healthier future.

  • Other or none of the above

Q: Other (please elaborate): Victims of intimate partner abuse, domestic abuse, and abuse survivors (women). I have personally experienced being unhoused and am a survivor of abuse (intimate partner violence, emotional/psychological abuse, financial abuse).

Q: Which groups have you worked with?

  • 2SLGBTQ+, First Nations/Indigenous, BPOC, Insecurely or unhoused, Substance use/addiction

Q: Other (please elaborate): Regarding Substance use/addiction: my experience is with sobre clients in AA, and with clients who have lost loved ones to overdose.
